Custom diamond and sapphire ring for Jessie in Norway.

We were contacted by Jessie from Norway (yes, the country) - she had missed an opportunity to purchase the ring in the picture above. She wondered 2 things - 1. Could we make a ring like this; and 2. Could we make it WITHOUT the diamonds mounted across the top and bottom.

Yes and yes!

We started by finding her a diamond - she chose a .84 ct Yehuda VS2 H that had excellent proportions and sparkles like a champ. Then I tracked down some triangle cut natural sapphires to accent the sides. (Those were pretty tough to find!)

Once we had the dimensions of the center diamond and the accent diamonds (3.00x1.50mm marquise cut) we sent Jessie some computer images of her ring to look over.

The ring was going to be made in two parts - in order to faithfully replicate the look of the vintage ring she loved, we had to make a seperate top portion for the main diamond.
Jessie gave us the go-ahead and the finished product (cast in 14kt X1 white gold) is just what she wanted.

The vintage look comes across loud and clear - and we are now officially
Chimera Design International!

We LOVE to make custom jewelry - we would love to make something for YOU.

Engagement ring with all the elements he asked for.

A young man recently came in with some specific ideas for his engagement ring. He wanted a princess cut diamond - so we started there and found this really nice .50 ct VS2 G colored one from Yehuda (it was almost perfectly square at 4.40 x 4.46mm).
His sweetheart loves the color green, so he wanted to incorporate some green stones - Julie just happened to have some 2.5mm round green sapphires that filled the bill. He also had his grandmother's wedding ring and wondered if we could use some of it when we constructed the ring.
As you can see from the pictures, Julie used parts of the yellow gold ring shank to insure that the memory of his grandmother is now apart of his future wife's engagement ring.

We love this kind of thing - turning YOUR ideas into reality.

12 diamonds symbolize 12 years together.

John and Karen decided to mark their 12 years together with a new ring for Karen. For the center diamond Karen was originally thinking about a princess cut, but we got her interested in a radiant cut. Jason at Yehuda had a gorgeous 1.01 ct that was almost perfectly square and Karen thought it would be a great centerpiece for her special ring.
We began with several computer renderings - this is one of them.

And here is the finished product.

We cast the ring in 14kt X1 white gold. X1 does not need to be rhodium plated. We would love to build a ring just for YOU.

Another BIG smile at Chimera Design.

As you can see, Dawn is one happy lady. She and Dave celebrated their anniversary with a customized setting from Gelin-Abaci set with a lovely princess cut diamond. There is a close up of the ring below. We hit a couple bumps in the road and delays on our way to making Dawn smile like this - but everyone was happy with the end result. (And people wonder why Julie and I have so much fun at work!)

White gold and diamond bracelet.

Julie made this bracelet for Glenda.
(Glenda is waaaay happy with it.)
She used 14kt X1 white gold -
X1 never needs to be rhodium plated.

Glenda wanted a diamond line (or tennis) bracelet.
She wanted one that was made just for her.
She and Julie sketched out a design and here is the result.

Come on in and we will make your dream a reality.

Fooling around with GemVision at Chimera.

Kevin and Amanda recently got engaged - Kevin bought a white gold Gelin-Abaci setting with a great looking princess cut diamond from Yehuda. They stopped in and we kicked around the idea of making a shadow band for the ring - possibly with diamonds.
So I jumped on GemVision and came up with a few images.

Here are a few of our latest creations.

We were delightfully busy for Christmas. Here is a sample of some of the beautiful,
one of a kind pieces that ended up under the tree.

Diamonds and rubies = serious bling for Sandy!
The center diamond is a SI1 F colored Yehuda with excellent
proportions - it sparkles and shines big time.

Tim's sweetheart loves sapphires. He worked with us
to create this beauty based on a sterling ring she loves.

This couple mined these gemstones while they were
on vacation and Julie mounted them in silver in their rough state.

Three birthstones and two diamonds celebrate
the three children of Chad and his wife.

June had a ring with a beautiful diamond accented by
baguettes, but she wanted them in a pendant.
Julie was happy to oblige and the result is stunning.

Come on in and let us create something beautiful FOR YOU!
