Pat is the director of the Lowell Historic Museum right down the street from us. She had some gold and a beautiful princess cut diamond and asked Julie to make a ring for her. They decided to accent the diamond with a round blue sapphire and the result is way cool.
What you cannot see in this picture is that the ring has a square shank. Square shanks take you by surprise, but they are very, very comfortable for the simple reason that for most of us our fingers are more square in shape then they are round.
